ESCO
Following up a 2007 resolution the European Commission needs a tool to efficiently manage the taxonomy of Occupations & Skills. This tool is one of the key elements in the realization of the vision laid out in the ‘New Skills for New Jobs’-initiative of the EU. An improved taxonomy will leverage the job-search across Europe by better matching CV’s to vacancies. TenForce and Mondeca were considered to be the best partners for the challenging job
Eurovoc
Summer 2008 TenForce won, together with Mondeca, a project of the Publications Office of the European Commission to build a Thesaurus Management system. Thesaurus and terminology will be stored and managed in the ITM of Mondeca. The thesaurus contents will be delivered through a Drupal based portal over the internet.
Spot on one year after publicizing their collaboration on the development of the next generation’s Thesaurus Management System (TMS) for the European Union, TenForce BVBA and Mondeca SA now announce to extend this successful partnership (see ESCO project).
CEDEFOP
The European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (Cedefop), established in 1975, is a European agency that helps promote and develop vocational education and training in the European Union (EU). It is the EU's reference centre for vocational education and training. TenForce, together with its partner Mondeca, implemented the Cedefop Thesaurus Management System and delivered the data migration solution to load the TMS.
TMS for Wolters Kluwer Belgium
In 2001 TenForce developed a Table of Contents Manager for Wolters Kluwer Belgium. It supports the process of building publications from individual texts and is as such core to the publishing flow at Wolters Kluwer. It keeps track of text versions and history. It can generate output for different media (book, CD, web, ...). Up to now we are maintaining the solution. This project lead to another, where we were asked to develop a Thesaurus Management System. It manages the different thesauruses that enable a publisher to interpret, categorize and classify texts in an automated way. It is multi language, and it is fundamental to index generation. The application is central to the content management process of WKB.
TenForce did requirements, specifications, design, architecture, development, test, maintenance, and change management. TenForce built a GUI client on top of the Thesaurus Management Server and it with different Content Management Systems (HR, Finance, ...) Technology: J2EE, Oracle, XSLT. This resulted in the following business benefits: support faster searches through the available text material and Standardized high quality indexing across different content domains. This project involved the ITM from Mondeca. Currently TenForce is maintaining both solutions.
Wolters Kluwer Legal Tax & Regulatory
Wolters Kluwer LTRE needed a solution to manage the publishing process in a European context. After a successful proof of concept TenForce is building a multi language publishing solution based on semantic technology (OWL, RDF). The TenForce team (4 to 7 engineers) is responsible for the definition, design, development and implementation of the industrial content management solution. Germany, Poland, The Netherlands, Italy and Spain will act as first movers.
